The Urban Music Awards, Foot Locker and Radio 1 are coming to Brighton to find Britain’s Next Urban Superstar. A brand new weekly TV show which will be airing on Flava Tv, Sky 357 from the 16th of July 2008.

Details:
Urban Music Awards 2008 and Foot Locker launches the biggest television talent show, Britain’s Next Urban Superstar. We will be going to 22 cities to find the best talent from all over the UK. We have just done Bristol…Second stop… Brighton!
- Have you got talent?
- Are you a Singer?
- Street Dancer?
Whether it is pop/acoustic/ hip hop/r&b/soul/jazz what ever your talent come and audition for a chance to:
- Win £5,000
- A prestigious Urban Music Award
- Chance to perform at the Urban Music Awards
- Exposure on television show
- One year recording contract
- Twelve month recording studio time
- One music video
- Free apparel from Foot Locker and a chance to tour selected Foot Locker stores as winner.
For Filming :
*When you attend, you will be interviewed outside venue by one of our presenters about, how long you have done your music for and more. If you bring a friend or family members , they will also be interviewed. This is optional.
*You will then be escorted in the main arena to film your audition. You are allowed to perform anything you want. What the show is looking for is talent, personality, and someone who is determined to succeed.

American underground indie rap artists ‘Atmosphere’, signed to seminal punk label Epitaph play Brighton’s Komedia on Thursday 19th June.
Ant’s ASR-born melodic beats and Slug’s open book and observational style of rapping continues to evolve into hip-hop that’s breaking down barriers.
Appealing not only to die-hard hip hop heads but also to indie rockers and punks, they also have one of hip hop’s largest female followings.
